Tionile Lithium-Cloride batteries are primary cells, i.e. NOT rechargeable.
They were designed in the United States at the end of the 50 years especially for military and aerospace applications.
The development is then oriented towards civil uses, thanks to the higher performance compared to existing batteries.
High rated voltage Up to 3,6 V, depending on the discharge speed and temperature.
High densityà energy Up to 420 Wh/Kg, about 4 times higher than alkaline batteries.
Low self-discharge: After 10 years of storage, the lithium-Cloride batteries of Tionile have a residual capacity of about 90 % of the initial one.
Wide temperature range: Offer the highest temperature range between sources
autonomous energy: from – 55 °C to + 125 °C depending on construction technology
Security
Tionile Lithium-Cloride batteries are hermetic thanks to glass-metal welding technology.
The ad alta potenza versions (spirated technology) are also equipped with a PTC to protect any short circuits.
