Professional signal transmission system that allows carrying HDMI signal over long distances using a Cat.5/6 network cable, by converting the HDMI signal into a standard TCP/IP signal. Via a router or a repeater thanks to a daisy-chain connection, the HDMI signal can be extended indefinitely. The IDATA EXTIP-373, also allows to function as a splitter since a transmitter can be connected to N receivers (max 253) to send the HDMI signal to different screens according to the user's needs. Supports all HDMI specs including full HD 1080p, deep color, lip sync and CEC; also supports all high-resolution multi-channel audio formats including Dolby Digital Plus, 7.1 LPCM, Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master Audio.

Due to the high bandwidth consumption it is advisable to use these devices with IGMP routers, or alternatively on dedicated networks or on separate VLAN port based.
