ATEN CE 690 è an optical KVM DVI extender that exceeds the length limits of standard DVI cables using optical fiber to transmit audio and video to high definition and long distance control signals. CE 690 can ò transmit KVM DVI signals at absolutely considerable distances: up to 20 km from the source. Accept audio-video streams from a local source and serialize the data to be transmitted on a single optical connection to 3,125 Gbps (for resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz, 24 bit) with a perfect visual quality.

In addition to extending control of mouse and keyboard, CE 690 also transfers RS- 232 signals (up to 115 kbps) and USB signals in both directions, with ports for both standards. In this way è can connect serial devices such as barcode readers or USB devices such as touchscreen, which provide access to a computer connected to the local location, up to 20 kilometers away.

The CE 690 allows you to access a computer from both the local and remote console (USB keyboard, monitor and mouse). The product also uses the optical fibre cable technology to connect the local unit to the remote one, allowing an easy and fast installation and the extension at a very long distance (20 km) of the KVM DVI signals.
